Fabulous vintage handmade log cabin quilt expertly crafted with darker and lighter colored fabrics to give a diamond pattern effect. This quilt is made from strips of a variety of solid and print fabrics including wool, satin, velvet. The different fabrics are not simply sewn together side by side, they are actually stacked and folded into each other, almost like stairs! The back is a burgundy fabric with hand tied wool thread. Some of the fabrics have frayed, particularly the silks and satins, and there's a lot of fabric shatter and disintegration throughout the quilt so please zoom in and look carefully! I bought this quilt with the intent to restore it; however, I have discovered the repairs needed are beyond my skillset and I'm hoping someone else can restore her to her original glory! It's still sturdy and perfectly usable but I've also discovered I do not like tie quilts lol! My loss is your gain!
