Modern Aluminum Metal Art Luminescent Print by Richard Bowden “Old Jetty”

Ok, folks. Every now and then I see something like this Modern Aluminum Metal Art and I see something vintage about it. This transformed famous photograph just screams nature, which is a big Mid-Century Modern theme in art. However, this piece is modern. With its beautiful brushed aluminum “canvas” (see photo 5) , and its greys and blacks, it evokes a mood of tranquility and peace. The artist, Richard Bowden, uses a special application of luminescent printing to “print” a modified image of this famous photograph on a sheet of brushed aluminum. It’s very chic.

I believe that this piece would look great in a decor setting that is modern with classic modern Mid-Century pieces or a modern loft setting. The piece itself is nicely finished as well, with the aluminum sheeting folded over and welded together on all 4 sides. On the back as you can see in photo 6, the piece has been labeled with the artist and the title of the piece, “Old Jetty”. It measures 30 x 22 inches.
