Nearly Three Hundred Ways to Dress Show Windows, 1888 Antigue Book

Dark mustard yellow hardbound boards show a great deal of wear along the board edges, at the top and bottom of the back strip, rubbing along the gutters, with substantial blemishes. Text title and decorative bands are lightly debossed in red and still readable. All corners are worn down to the paper board and with bumping. The spine is straight and firmly attached to hinges so the book is structurally sound but the cloth cover is fraying form the front paper endpaper. Text block is solid with no tears in the stitched binding but with some wrinkles at the binding edge but all pages are firmly attached. Age tanning throughout but limited foxing. Pages 143 and 145 have an approximate 3” tear but text is readable. Interior pages are basically clean with no other known tears, only slight blemishes, a few folded corners, and no previous owner marks. 237 pages, plus 48 pages of “Window Devices and Advertising Novelties”.
